Ugh.  Yes, Ugh is the right word to describe this.  I'm heading back to school, which isn't so bad, but packing is absolutely vile.  Don't misunderstand, I'm glad to be out of the house, but deciding what comes with and what stays is horror of the first magnitude.  Hence todays Dead Brad Day.

I know most of you are going to scoff at me for having a DBD when I'm only the writer.  Right?  Wrong.  These comics take a lot of photoshoping work, especially in recent strips, and I'm just not able to do it this time.  Sorry, all of you who were waiting for number three, but it just isn't there.

You know what else isn't there?  E-mail.  Yes ... E-mail.  We get a few messages from our readers, but I know that the same people haven't been checking back on this site enough to cause 800+ hits.  Which means that some of you aren't writing.  Which is a crying shame.  Matt and I put this comic together in our spare time, and sacrifice sleep to get things posted on schedule, and spend fantastic sums of money on things to make the comic look better.  And, honestly, we do it for fun.  We're honestly hoping that some of our real life experiences are funny enough to make the world laugh.  Even if all you do is smirk and go back to work, at least we got something, and we're happy.  But it helps to know that we're not just updating an empty site.  Please keep the e-mail coming.  Most of you are thinking: "hey, he's getting e-mail, somebody else will send it" well, the truth is that somebody else won't send it, he's too busy playing NeverWinter Nights.  So, if you look in at the comic and you laugh, or even smile, or if you have suggestions or comments or anything of the sort, drop us a line.  We like hearing from you, because it tells us that we're not laboring in vain.  Indulge us, it'll only take a few seconds and we're not going to invade Czechoslovakia because you sent us an e-mail.  We're webcomic-ers, not nazis.  I think.

Not much response to our contest, but it's open until August.  Send in your jokes and let the fun begin!  Especially if we get to laugh at you.

Critical Updates Package

Perhaps I see the source of all the confusion.  If you get around to sending us your joke for the contest, you don't have to send us your exact physical description ... lord knows what you really look like.  Hell, just send in the jokes and we'll ask the winner for his / her description when we're ready.  And you don't need to tell the truth, just tell us what you want to look like when we draw you.  If you're going to show it off to your friends, of course, you'll need to give us a fairly accurate idea of what your face looks like, but Truth is not required.

Send in the jokes, and leave the rest to us.
